Giving & Receiving  frequent questions

We've designed Givimo to be an easy way to build an activist-audience, to raise money painlessly, and to give without thinking. Our fees are some of the lowest in the industry, so take a look at an example gift below to see our fee structure and how giving and receiving donations through Givimo.com works.

Example Gift

If a user gives $25 to “Your Cause”, this is how the transactions break down on Givimo.com. If you're a cause, you can view the gifts, minus the fees in your dashboard. As a giver, you will soon be able to add 5% to your gift to cover the fees for each transaction.

Why the fees?

Instead of charging every cause a monthly fee we felt we could help more causes and fundraising campaigns by being free than by charging a monthly fee. Like all credit card transactions, VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX take their fees off the top, usually around 3%. Although Givimo now takes an additional 2% out of thetransaction, our true profit margin per transaction is closer to .5% after all expenses. We hope to continue serving the nonprofit community with helpful tools that enable them to grow. Charging a minimal fee on each transaction is the way we pay the bills.

Depending on the size of your organization and how much money you're raising annually, we may alter our fee structure. Contact us if you feel you or your organization falls in this category.
