Linked Music Festival 2011

The LINKED Music Festival is hosting a free family friendly music show on October 8th at Nisbet Park in the historic City of Loveland from 1-8pm. In an effort to support the passion and the movement behind the LINKED Music Festival, we are partnering with other events taking place on Saturday October 8th to form the overall event “Bike, Bands and Bites.” We believe this will expand our exposure and help bridge the suburban neighborhoods into the fight against poverty. Several non-profit organizations and churches joined forces to establish the CityLink Center, which recently broke ground on their new facility on Bank Street. The Center has been designed to be a holistic healing center, where individuals will go and be surrounded by one team and work on an integrated, holistic path to break free from poverty and become self-sustaining. The LINKED Music Festival will have a great line up of bands including: 1pm-1:45pm Treslor Comet; 2pm- 2:30pm Lee Roessler Duo; 2:45pm- 3:15pm Marissa Rhinehart Trio; 3:30pm- 4pm Nick Wing; 4:15-5pm James Potts Band; 5:15pm -6:15pm Holly Spears Band; and our featured band plays 6:45pm-8pm Blessid Union of Souls! The LINKED Music Festival is asking for donations to pay for bands, venue expenses, event insurance and sound crew; however overall, it's all about raising awareness for CityLink. Nisbet Park has a great amphitheater, so bring a chair or blanket to sit on. There is a playground, picnic tables, green space, a walking trail that leads down to the Little Miami River and access to the famous Bike Trail as well. We will have a beer truck at the park for adults and several downtown restaurants are hosting tasting events featuring Paxton's Grill, The Works Brick Oven Restaurant and Tano Bistro & Catering. There will also be a charity bike riding event sponsored by the Heartstone Foundation in the morning. Along with all of this, the Loveland Arts Council will have various showings throughout town.
